π§Ύ In a few words
You can play our lathe-cut records on the majority of home turntables. However, since lathe-cut vinyls behave slightly differently than pressed vinyls, a few technical considerations apply.
π Details
β Compatible turntables include:
- Modern belt-drive or direct-drive turntables (Audio-Technica, Crosley, Victrola, etc.)
- Vintage players with adjustable tonearm pressure
- USB turntables and all-in-one record players
- DJ turntables with adjustable counterweight and anti-skate
π Important compatibility tips:
- Make sure the turntable supports the vinyl size:
- 7", 10", or 12"
- Set the correct speed:
- Most of our records are cut at 33 β RPM
- Some 7β records may require 45 RPM (weβll specify it if needed)
π§ Due to the lathe-cut method:
- Volume may sound lower than commercial pressed vinyls
- Slight surface noise is normal and expected
- Use a fresh needle and clean surface for the best sound
π If your player is automatic and struggles to start playback correctly, switch it to manual mode and place the needle gently on the edge of the record.

π§ Pro tip
π‘ If your turntable has a counterweight, try increasing the pressure slightly (up to 2.5gβ3g) β it can improve tracking on lathe-cut grooves.
