π§Ύ In a few words
Each vinyl size has a recommended time limit to ensure great sound and volume. Thereβs also a strict maximum we cannot go beyond β not even by a few seconds.
For a quick reference check the images below.

π Duration & Track Limits by Vinyl Size
Vinyl Size | Recommended Duration | Maximum Limit | Recommended Tracks | Maximum Tracks |
7-inch | 5 minutes | 7:00 (max) | 2 per side | 3 (with permission) |
10-inch | 12 minutes | 14:00 (max) | 3 per side | 4 (with permission) |
12-inch | 20 minutes | 22:00 (max) | 6 per side | 7 (with permission) |
π― Important: The maximum means exactly the full minute β 00 seconds.
Example: 22:00 is OK, but 22:01 or 22:10 is not.
β What happens if you go over the limit?
If your playlist exceeds the maximum limit, weβll have to:
- Pause the process and contact you
- Wait for your response before making changes
- Apply the requested edits
- Then reach out again to confirm everything is correct
π¦ This will delay your order and may affect your delivery date.
π¬ We want your experience to be smooth and enjoyable, without unnecessary back-and-forth. Thatβs why we ask you to double-check the length before submitting your playlist.
π How to check the duration of your playlist
If you're using MP3 or WAV files:
β Play the songs using your music player (like iTunes, VLC, Windows Media Player) and check the total time per side.
If you're sending a playlist from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.:
- Use the desktop version or Spotify Web, which shows minutes and seconds
- The mobile app usually shows only minutes, not seconds
π‘ Our tip: If you're close to the limit, stay at least 1 minute under
That way, you avoid getting tricked by hidden seconds that may not appear on mobile apps.
π Example
A customer sends a 12-inch playlist that says "22 minutes" in Spotify mobile.
β However, if the playlist is 20:50, thatβs above our recommendation but below the max, and we can still record it.
