Some turntables are programmed to stop the record automatically once the needle reaches a certain distance from the center. But since our records use more of the disc surface, this can interrupt playback.
🔍 Common symptoms:
- The record stops around the last 1–2 songs
- You hear a “click” or “lift” sound from the tonearm
- The disc plays fine on other turntables
🛠 Solution:
- Look for the Auto Stop switch or function on your turntable
- Turn Auto Stop OFF
- Restart the record — it should now play all the way to the end
